Description
Homeland Safety is a safety training and consultant firm. We assist construction companies with their safety programs and conduct OSHA and New York City specific safety training.  Our Emergency Preparedness division is seeking a qualified, self-motivated individual to prepare and file NYC-required Fire Safety Plans and Emergency Action Plans, as well as amendments to those plans. This requires significant interaction with clients, who are typically property managers of high rise office buildings in the five boroughs of NYC.

Additionally, the position conducts training sessions for wardens and building occupants as well as a limited number of inhouse training sessions.
Homeland is also involved in developing emergency response programs that are outside the scope of NYC Fire Safety & EAP requirements. This position is expected to participate in this work.

Qualifications

• Hold NYC FS/EAP Certificates of Fitness
• Be familiar with NYC’s new fire code
• Be Comfortable with public speaking (training and drills)
• Must have Computer capability (WORD, Excel, PowerPoint) CAD a plus
• Be a self starter, be capable of meeting deadlines
• Be personable – client relationships must be developed and maintained
